Grow your own Eversweet strawberries in a stylish, high quality, cosmopolitan, modern 12" hanging basket. Strawberries are fairly easy to grow, and there is nothing like a fresh berry plucked off your own plant. Strawberries are ideal for growing in a hanging basket since they are small plants with shallow root structures. Additionally, since the fruit does not touch the soil, fruit health is greatly improved. Plant, water, feed and pluck these berries and fill your own mouth with the unbeatable aroma of home grown strawberries.
Our kit comes with a 12" diameter hanging planter, an 18" hanger, compressed soil and 6 bare root strawberry plants instead of seed. Seed takes too long to produce and roots guarantee success. Instructions on how to expand the soil and plant the basket are included as well. Even though three strawberry plants will fill up this container, we have included three extra, so that you have extra plants to play around with in another container of your choosing.
About this Variety
Eversweet strawberries are so sweet and juicy. The idea of having a steady supply of berries by growing your own from a bed of strawberry plants is tempting and, fortunately, easy as pie. Our Eversweet variety bears yummy fruit all summer long, unlike some others which only produce in June or spring. Eversweet shows very good results all over the country and we believe it is the best. Why go with anything else? The variety is heat tolerant and produces large, flavorful berries. They are easy to grow, producing a steady crop throughout the season. Success is guaranteed!

To plant: Find a full sun location that receive 6+ hours of direct sun per day. Dig a hole 2-3" deep. Plant strawberry roots in a sunny location. Space the strawberry roots 12-24" apart in fertile, well draining soil. Plant with the crown at soil level.
Care Tip
Garden planting: Plant 12-24" apart with rows spaced 12-24" apart. Plant early spring so plants can get established before the hot weather. They love the sun so consider that when choosing a location to hang the basket. Strawberry plants in pots need to be kept watered. The hanging basket can be over wintered in a sheltered area or garage.
