Strawberry, botanically known as Fragaria, is a low-growing, herbaceous hybrid perennial of cultivated origin. Popularly grown in home edible gardens around the world for its delicious fruit. Plants will spread over time by above-ground runners that root, forming new plants that increase yield and harvest annually. Plants produce five-petaled blooms that mature into fruit. With the high cost of produce in the markets, why not simply grow your own in your own backyard. You'll have fresher, healthier produce. Improve your health and save money!
About this Variety
Flamingo is a day-neutral strawberry variety which, as the name suggests, produces fruit throughout the growing season, regardless of the length of daylight hours. They are less sensitive to daylight hours which allows them to continuously produce fruit from spring through fall. This makes them desirable for gardeners who seek a consistent supply of berries over a longer period. Flamingo's fruit has a distinctive pale pink color, with medium to large uniform fruit. The flavor is sweet and delicate with a hint of tartness. Their texture is soft and juicy with a fragrant aroma. While strawberry Flamingo plants are adaptable to a range of climates, they prefer mild, temperate regions. Prized for their unique color and sweet flavor.
