Strawberry, botanically known as Fragaria, is a low-growing, herbaceous hybrid perennial of cultivated origin. Popularly grown in home edible gardens around the world for its delicious fruit. Plants will spread over time by above-ground runners that root, forming new plants that increase yield and harvest annually. Plants produce five-petaled blooms that mature into fruit. With the high cost of produce in the markets, why not simply grow your own in your own backyard. You'll have fresher, healthier produce. Improve your health and save money!
About this Variety
The White Carolina strawberry, also known as pineberry, is a unique variety known for its distinct appearance and flavor. It produces small to medium, white to pale pink berries with red seeds. It has a white to light pink interior. White Carolina's flavor is sweet with a distinctive pineapple-like flavor, which is what makes it unique from traditional strawberries. Ideal for fresh consumption. It can be sensitive to harsh conditions and extreme temperatures. White Carolina is often considered an everbearing, or day-neutral variety. It has the ability to produce fruit continuously throughout the growing season, rather than all at once in a short period like the Junebearers. It's worth noting that the classification of strawberry varieties is somewhat subjective as it varies on regional practices and specific growing conditions.
