Babiana is also know by the name baboon flower producing freesia-like flowers from gladiolus-like corms. Each dark green foliage stem produces several flowers that are about 2" in diameter. Blooms for 3-5 weeks. The flowers have a lemony scent. They are fairly easy to grow and make excellent cut flowers. A large and interesting genus sure to hook you. About this Variety
Our mixture ships in shades of blue, purple, magenta, red, white and pink. As a mixture, no two packs are alike.

Growing Instructions
Plant in small groups of 10-15 bulbs for best effect. Babiana requires fast draining soil. In the deep south, where they will overwinter in the garden, do not water after flowering when the leaves turn brown. Let the plants go dormant for about two months before resuming watering for next year's growth cycle.
Care Tip
We recommend planting approximately 15 bulbs per square foot. Plant with pointed side facing upwards.
